Review: Full Permaculture Design Course

Full Permaculture Design Course

13th – 22nd April 2012

The last Full Permaculture Design course as part of the CAP Project saw its end last month after an intensive 10 days full of inspiration. The beautiful Bahrija Oasis Surroundings were the platform and the example of a Permaculture farm and a source of motivation, where the tutors, Angus Soutar and Peppi Gauci shared their knowledge and expertise on related subjects.

In addition to gaining all the awareness available, and practices of Permaculture designers, the thriving graduates gladly and willingly set their customary metropolitan lives aside and shared their living space for the whole course duration, living in a community with mother earth. Our heartfelt desires are that all the individuals who attended can now pass on the knowledge to others and subsequently create a bigger community.

Review: Open Day 28th April

Review: Open day 28th April 2012

A superb sunny day welcomed an abundant group of people at the Bahrija Oasis. Attendants had the unique opportunity to visit the farm and listen to the teachings of Malcolm Borg and Peppi Gauci.  The oasis itself is the proof that Permaculture principles can work if used correctly and wisely and people can essentially see the difference between the undomesticated surroundings and the life being cultivated on our land. Kids were given the opportunity to dirty their hands in a potting exercise and find different kinds of seeds abundantly available in their proximities. To finish of this lovely day, freshly homemade cakes and herbal teas were served.

Two open days

(Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 March)

In a springtime atmosphere during a mid March weekend, the Permaculture Research Foundation in collaboration with Core Green Events, orchestrated by Natalie Debono, has hosted two open days at the awe-inspiring haven of Bahrija Oasis, as part of the initiatives of the CAP Project. People from diverse sectors of life, including whole families interested in attending, were advised to book, as a limited number of people are allowed in the Permaculture farm at once in order not to disrupt the various ecosystems.
